Open Position: Techno-Commercial Sales (Manager / Sr. Manager / AGM / GM) Need candidates from below Textile Verticals only: - Agri Textiles - Packaging Textiles - Geo Textiles - Automotive Textiles - As the Head of Technical Textile Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business across domestic and international markets. You will lead B2B and institutional sales initiatives within your assigned verticals, focusing on technical textiles. Your expertise in the technical textile industry will enable you to develop and implement sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and nurture long-term relationships with key customers. Lead B2B and Institutional Sales in Your Assigned Vertical : - You will be responsible for leading the sales efforts in a designated technical textile vertical, which may include areas such as Agri Textiles, Geo Textiles, Packaging Textiles, Automotive Textiles, or Industrial Textiles. Your primary goal will be to grow our customer base and achieve set sales targets within the assigned market segment. Identify and Onboard New Customers, Distributors, and OEMs : - You will actively seek out new business opportunities, targeting potential customers, distributors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) both within domestic markets and in international export regions. You will use your strong network and market knowledge to expand our customer base and forge partnerships that will drive long-term growth. Offer Techno-Commercial Solutions : - In this role, you will be expected to offer comprehensive, tailored solutions to customers based on their specific application requirements. You will leverage your deep understanding of technical textiles to offer techno-commercial solutions that meet customer needs in areas such as product performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Your solutions will be driven by a thorough understanding of both the product capabilities and the commercial aspects. Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality Teams : - You will work closely with the internal teams, including Research & Development (R&D), Production, and Quality departments, to ensure that customer requirements are met. This includes coordinating trials, product samples, and custom developments. You will also be involved in guiding the product development process to ensure that solutions are both innovative and commercially viable. Manage Pricing, Proposals, and Negotiations : - You will be responsible for developing pricing strategies, drafting proposals, and engaging in negotiations with potential customers. This will require a solid understanding of product costing, margins, and overall profitability. You will ensure that pricing is competitive yet ensures profitability for the business. Your negotiation skills will be key in closing deals that align with both customer expectations and the company's goals. Track Market Trends and Competitor Movements - In this role, you will be expected to stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities. This involves conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify potential areas for growth. You will use these insights to adjust strategies, develop new sales opportunities, and stay ahead of industry developments. Drive Sales and Margin Targets : - You will be directly responsible for achieving both sales and margin targets within your vertical. This includes setting specific goals and ensuring that the sales team or sales activities are aligned with achieving these objectives. In addition, you will foster long-term customer relationships that result in repeat business and referrals. Who You Are : - To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a blend of technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills. Your qualifications and experience will ideally include the following: Qualification : A Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Polymers, or Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech / Diploma) or an MBA in Marketing. A strong technical background, paired with business acumen, is essential for success in this position. Experience : You should have between 5 to 20 years of experience in the technical textile industry or related sectors such as agri, geo, packaging, automotive, or industrial textiles. Your career should demonstrate a proven ability to drive B2B, OEM, and institutional sales, and you should have a track record of achieving sales targets in a competitive market environment. Techno-Commercial Mindset : You should have the ability to connect product performance to customer requirements, translating technical specifications into commercially viable solutions. A deep understanding of cost structures, margins, and profitability in a technical context will be critical in this role. Strong Relationship Management Skills : As a leader in sales, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, long-term relationships with clients, distributors, and OEMs. You should be comfortable negotiating contracts, managing expectations, and communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. International Business Development Experience (for Export Roles) : For those applying for export-focused positions, prior experience in international business development, including managing cross-border sales and navigating the complexities of international markets, is highly desirable. Preferred Background: - We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked with established technical textile or industrial fabric manufacturers in the following areas: Agri Textiles : Knowledge in products such as shade nets, crop covers, pond liners, and other agricultural fabrics. Experience with textiles designed for enhancing agricultural productivity will be a plus. Geo Textile s: Experience with woven and nonwoven fabrics used for geotechnical applications such as reinforcement, filtration, erosion control, and other civil engineering purposes. Knowledge of soil stabilization and land reclamation applications will be highly valued. Packaging Textiles : Familiarity with materials such as PP/HDPE woven fabrics, FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), and industrial sacks. Experience in developing textiles for packaging solutions in various industries, including food, chemicals, and logistics, will be advantageous. Automotive and Industrial Textiles : Experience with automotive textiles like roof liners, filtration media, composites, and performance fabrics used in high-performance or industrial settings. You should have a good grasp of how textiles can be used in enhancing automotive and industrial products.
