The Role: The Petrophysicist will report to regional exploration heads of respective assets / region and will carry out integrated technical studies to deliver formation evaluation programme of prospects and wells with a goal to add resources and re serves.The role will support the aim to build the strategic target portfolio from which discovered resource and production targets can be achieved. The Petrophysicist alongside the technical peer will work across all acreage in the basin or region with the aim to create inventory of opportunities and mature the best available opportunities to drill in support of strategic goals. Responsi bilities: Formation E - valuation Propose well data acquisition, choice of logging tools and design the logging program for exploration wells including onshore, shallow and deepwate - r regimes.Management coordination, and supervision of logging operations during both LWD and wireline operations. Ability to supervise, QC and validate execution of logging and detailed log interpretations including multimineral - analysis.Supervise the identification and picking of formation tops, reservoir zonation and well-to-well geological co - rrelation.Validate raw log data, check the data is properly acquired, labelled, and indexed. Log editing, depth matching, log normalization and core-to-log correlation. Ensure the technical integrity and quality of discipline work and databases ma - intenance.Provide advice and support on logging data to the database managem - ent group.Participate in the selection of the acquisition of wireline pressure points, fluid samples, and intervals to be perforated, tested, and completed. Follow up testing and completion o - perations.Integrate and align the work with other disciplines involved in drilling operations and reservoir studies: operation geologists, geophysicists, geologists, drilling, reservoir, and production - engineers.Provide petrophysical inputs and support Exploration teams in reservoir geological description, routine and special core analyses, rock mechanical analysis and seismic rock propertie - s studies.If needed, participation in the technical bid preparation, evaluation, recommendation, awarding, management, supervision and follow up of contracts for an effective electrical logging acquisition and petrophysical inter - pretation.Understanding of vendor tools, new technologies and different data acquisition practices.
