Job Description The Role Are you a technical leader who thrives at the intersection of marketing strategy and robust engineering We are seeking a Technical Director, MarTech to be the crucial bridge between our development teams and our clients. This pivotal role requires an individual with a deep, authoritative technical mindsomeone who can truly understand complex requirements, assess platform risks, and architect scalable, high-performing MarTech solutions. Simultaneously, you will be a masterful communicator, translating these technical concepts into clear, compelling, and commercially sound insights for non-technical stakeholders and client executives. You will be responsible for building, mentoring, and scaling our development capability across key marketing technology platforms, including WordPress and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). A core function of this leadership role is to implement best-practice systems and agile processes to ensure our engineering output is efficient, compliant, and world-class. Key Responsibilities - Technology & Quality Assurance: Oversee and assure the quality, performance, and strategic alignment of the technology team's output across all client engagements. - Strategic Scoping & Documentation: Lead the scoping of new MarTech requirements, translating client business needs and marketing strategies into detailed, accurate technical specifications and documentation. - Workflow Optimization & Governance: Continuously improve development workflows, systems, and delivery processes (DevOps, QA, CI/CD) to enhance team productivity and velocity. - Team Development & Recruitment: Drive the ongoing professional development, mentoring, and recruitment of the engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability. - Innovation & Future-Proofing: Stay ahead of the curve on the latest trends in development, Generative AI, and emerging marketing technology, incorporating strategic insights into our service offerings and roadmaps.
