About the Role

ASBS MBA is seeking a result-driven and relationship-focused Placement Outreach Manager to drive corporate engagement and placement partnerships for our MBA programs. In this role, youll treat students as industry-ready products and corporates as your customers, working to bridge talent with opportunity.

This is a field-intensive, B2B-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in building relationships, pitching talent, and converting recruiters into long-term hiring partners.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Outreach & Relationship Management

- Identify and build partnerships with companies across key B-School placement industries for internships and final placements
- Conduct in-person meetings, HR presentations, campus visits, and networking initiatives
- Pitch student profiles by specialization (Marketing, Finance, HR, Digital, etc.) aligned with corporate needs
- Maintain recruiter relationships and ensure regular engagement through meetings, email, and event invites

Talent Positioning & Custom Pitching

- Position students as career-ready talent with skill-based profiling
- Align student capabilities with hiring trends in domains like BFSI, Consulting, FMCG, Retail, Tech, Analytics, Media, Logistics, EdTech, and Startups
- Collaborate with the academic & career cell to fine-tune skill-readiness and employer fit

Target-Based Execution & Tracking

- Set and achieve monthly/quarterly recruiter outreach and placement goals
- Maintain dashboards of recruiter database, outreach progress, interviews scheduled, offers made, and average packages
- Organize placement drives, pre-placement talks, and virtual/in-person interviews

Market Feedback & Branding Support

- Capture employer feedback to help shape curriculum updates and soft skills training
- Coordinate with branding team for employer showcases, recruiter testimonials, and placement success stories on digital platforms
- Organize and support industry-facing events such as HR conclaves, career fairs, and alumni hiring drives

Preferred Industries to Hire From

Candidates may come from:

- B2B Sales or Corporate Partnerships (especially in education, HR tech, or staffing)
- Campus Recruitment / Placement Cells from other B-Schools or EdTech platforms
- Executive Search, Talent Acquisition, or HR Consulting
- Institutional Sales roles from skilling/certification companies like NIIT, TeamLease, Aptech, etc.

Requirements

- 36 years of experience in corporate relations, talent outreach, or B2B partnerships
- Deep understanding of B-School placement industries and hiring patterns
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and pitching skills
- Willingness to travel for outreach across cities or regions
- MBA in Marketing, HR, or General Management preferred
