Job Opportunity: Part-Time Counsellor for Underprivileged Girls

Location: Gejha Village, Noida, Sector 93 A

Position: Counsellor

Reports To: Program Manager

Job Summary:

Aahan Foundation for Social Change is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Counsellor to provide emotional and psychological support to girls from underprivileged communities in Noida. The Counsellor will work offline to foster a safe and nurturing environment, helping these girls overcome barriers, build resilience, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Counselling and Support:

- Provide group counselling sessions to address emotional, behavioural, and social issues.
- Providing workshops/activities on all 5 aspects of Social-Emotional Learning

2. Assessments and Reporting:

- Conduct midline and endline assessments of the girls.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor&aposs or Masters degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Experience:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in counselling or social work, preferably with underprivileged communities.

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong understanding of issues faced by girls from underprivileged backgrounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Working Conditions:

- In-person visits to the Centre in Noida, Sector 93, 2-4 times a month.
- Evening batch of 1-2 hours
