**About PLC Academic Program **:Pratishthan Learning Centre started in 2013 as a unique fast-track education program for underprivileged children who are lagging in the education system for a few years due to fractured schooling or who dropped out of school for unfortunate situations. This program gets an out-of-school teenager career-ready in 5 years based on education. The students complete Grades 6 to 10 in 3 years and in the next 2 years complete Grade 12 along with a vocational skill. Additionally, vocational skill training is provided to all students. Communication, personality development, language ability, soft skill training (for ease of job hiring), and etiquette development are all integrated into the curriculum to encourage the holistic development of the students. In short, Pratishthan Learning Center not just focuses on quality education for underprivileged school drop-outs but also prepares them for formal sector jobs.

**Position Summary/Purpose of the role-**

To ensure end to end management and responsibility of the program by overseeing day to day operations related to all aspects of the program such as Student and Learning management, Data management, Program Management. This will also involve making students ready for formal schooling

**Student and Learning Management**:

- Creating an academic program for students that meets their future needs.
- To ensure that the teaching learning process is running smoothly and the learning objectives for all the children are met
- Helping assess students’ needs and development
- Discipline and safety of students in the institution/program
- Instilling values and ethos in students and team
- Ensuring minimum dropouts via

a. Ensuring smooth running and selection of students for skill courses

b. Ensuring required career counseling, resumes, aptitude tests etc. are conducted as per need /academic calendar

c. Ensuring a positive and child centric atmosphere in the team
- Ensuring 100% passing percentage in the NIOS board exams

**Data Management**
- Tracking student performance, maintenance of documents of the program and curate timely and effective reports
- Ensure complete maintenance of documents and data as per need

**Program and Team Management**
- Working closely and communicating with students’ parents
- Hiring and training of staff
- selection, training, support and assessment of staff
- Provide guidance to staff to help resolve issues with students
- Conduction of examinations, co curricular activities, volunteering sessions, events etc.
- Developing & ensuring proper follow up of school policies and SOPs
- Ensuring regular attendance of students and staff
- Handling admissions
- Handling the operations of NIOS related with admissions, examinations, students’ support services, grievance redressal and others academic/ administrative activities of NIOS

**Qualification and experience -**
- Post Graduate with Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the similar or equivalent role
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools such as Powerpoint, Excel etc.
- Exposure to NGOs/Foundations will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of NIOS curriculum and processes along with career options available for students post Grade XII

**Working Hours** **- The working hours for this role would be**

**Monday - Friday -7.5 hours**

**Saturday - As per the school schedule**
