De Nederlandse ambassade in New Delhi, India, is op zoek naar een stagiair voor zes maanden, van september 2024 tot maart 2025. Het team van de ambassade organiseert dialogen, activiteiten, projecten en rapporteert aan het Ministerie in Den Haag over politieke ontwikkelingen, mensenrechten, (duurzame) economie, landbouw en cultuur. Daarnaast werkt het team nauw samen met collega's binnen het India netwerk dat bestaat uit de ambassade in New Delhi, de Consulaten-generaal in Mumbai en Bangalore en met collega’s van andere diplomatieke vertegenwoordigingen in New Delhi.

We zijn op zoek naar een enthousiaste stagiair ter ondersteuning van de Politieke, Publieksdiplomatie en Culturele Afdeling binnen de ambassade in New Delhi op het gebied van communicatie. Werkzaamheden zullen o.a. bestaan uit:

- Bijdragen aan de sociale media-kanalen van de ambassade.
- Assisteren bij het opstellen van speeches en externe communicatie.
- Helpen bij het organiseren en promoten van evenementen.
- Bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling en implementatie van communicatiestrategieën om de zichtbaarheid van de ambassade en Nederland in India te vergroten.

Naast bovengenoemde werkzaamheden zul je tevens de tijd krijgen om te werken aan je eigen leeropdracht. Een leeropdracht vormt een belangrijk onderdeel van je stage en we verzoeken je dan ook om te solliciteren met een duidelijke leeropdracht voor ogen. Dit zal je helpen het meeste uit je stage te halen en tevens een waardevolle bijdrage te leveren aan de ambassade in New Delhi.
**Functie-eisen

Wij zijn op zoek naar jou als je:

- de Nederlandse nationaliteit hebt,
- ingeschreven staat voor een Master opleiding (alle studierichtingen zijn welkom),
- de Nederlandse en Engelse taal in woord en geschrift goed beheerst,
- beschikt over goede mondelinge en schriftelijke uitdrukkingsvaardigheden,
- creatief, flexibel, zelfstandig, enthousiast en sociaal vaardig bent,
- gemakkelijk initiatief neemt,
- bijdraagt aan de diversiteit binnen de ambassade,
- en beschikt over een sterk analytisch denkvermogen.

Leeropdracht
Een onderdeel van de stage betreft een leeropdracht rond de thema’s communicatie en/of cultuur. Dit is een onderzoek dat je, met begeleiding van je stagebegeleider, zelfstandig zal uitvoeren. Deze is in overleg vorm te geven, maar van de stagiair wordt verwacht voor aanvang van de stage reeds een duidelijk idee te hebben omtrent een onderzoeksvraag. Voordat de stage begint wordt de leeropdracht schriftelijk vastgelegd.

Allereerst is er het warme klimaat, met temperaturen die regelmatig boven de veertig graden Celsius uitkomen. Deze hitte kan voor sommige mensen fysiek zwaar zijn en de nodige aanpassing vergen. Daarnaast is er de jaarlijkse moessonperiode, die gepaard gaat met hevige regenval en soms overstromingen. Dit kan de mobiliteit beïnvloeden en bepaalde uitdagingen met zich meebrengen.

Een ander belangrijk aspect om te overwegen is de luchtverontreiniging in New Delhi. De stad heeft te
