**Job Description: Continental Chef - Alder Foods**

**Location**: CHANDIGARH

**Reports to**: Head of Culinary Operations
**About Alder Foods**:
Alder Foods specializes in artisanal bread and exotic baked goods. We cater to premium cafes, restaurants, and businesses. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a skilled **Continental Chef** to manage all aspects of cooking in our kitchen.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all Continental dishes, ensuring high standards of flavor, presentation, and quality.
- Create and execute menu items from scratch, including sauces, stocks, and baked goods.
- Manage the kitchen staff and ensure smooth daily operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Collaborate with the head chef and management team to develop new recipes and seasonal menus.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and maintain consistent standards.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Continental Chef or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to prepare dishes from scratch, including stocks, sauces, and other key elements.
- Ability to manage all aspects of kitchen operations efficiently.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- A passion for food and creativity in menu development.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Prior experience working in a high-end restaurant or hotel kitchen.
