The Technology Assurance & Controls team design and deliver first line technology & operational risk management and deploy these in accordance with ANZ’s Risk Management Framework. These activities are deployed in accordance with the ANZ New Ways of Working Model.
The team works closely with Technology Business Units to enable enhanced management of risk, controls assurance and reporting.
As a Technology Assurance Partner (first line risk) in our Group Technology Assurance & Controls team, you will be supporting Group Technology domains (such as security, infrastructure, cloud, enterprise data) to ensure their key risks are understood and well managed.
What will your day look like
**As part of this role you will**:
Support the team to provide assurance of risks, controls, treatments, events, operational / delivered risk assessments and audit items.
Lead the risk in change for various key initiatives
Take on risk / compliance related initiatives and drive them to completion
Use your strong communication and presentation skills to connect with stakeholders across Group Technology
Support the Technology domains and their operations teams in the continuous improvement of their risk management in line with our Risk Management Framework.

To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:
Relevant tertiary qualifications relating to Information Technology
A thirst for learning about risk management in a large financial services organisation
Experience in financial services, or a large corporate environment, preferably in a risk related role (e.g. risk, assurance, audit or compliance) - but not essential.
An understanding of technology operational risks, such as ALM, resilience, security, vendor management
An understanding of risk principals and frameworks
Experience of risk management in cloud and understanding of cloud technology
Good communication and presentation skills
Understanding of the regulatory environment and potential impacts
Ability to build strong and influential relationships across business and technology areas
An understanding of technology and technology operational risks, such as ALM, resilience, security, vendor management
A growth mindset - highly motivated by continuous improvement and seeking new ways to align processes, systems and culture to uplift and accelerate performance.
Curiosity - continuously seeking to understand industry trends and best practices that our people can use to manage risk actively and effectively within Technology.
