Section 2 | Purpose of the Role
The overall role of the Assistant Manager is to provide the leadership and efficiently manage all the Chapters/Centers of USF pertaining to the Region. This includes carrying forward the USF Vision of girl education and women empowerment. The responsibility also entails framing a growth strategy in sync with Vision of the Udayan Care.
The role also encapsulates positioning USF as a key player in empowering underprivileged girls by providing them educational opportunities and transforming their lives in order to become ‘Shalinis’.
Section 3 | Key Responsibilities
- **Overall**_
- Develop a deep understanding of the vision, objectives and structural elements of the USF Programme
- Serve as a brand ambassador of the programme to all constituencies: Media, students, parents, school principals and teachers, government officials etc.
- Help the management in developing policies and improvement in the programme
- Maintaining warm relationship with existing donors and develop new contacts for generating funds
- Participate in identifying and developing new funding opportunities, drafting prospective
- programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
- Participate in developing performance measures that support and evaluate the implementation of USF Programme.
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the programme team and maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team and volunteers
- Identify new locations for expansion of the programme in the nearby vicinity.
- **Operational**_
- Drive implementation of USF Programme plans in different chapters(3to5) assigned
- Ensure seamless execution of USF policies and practices in a standardized format across chapters
- To interact with core committee members in different chapters of USF for successful implementation of the programme
- Develop; maintain systems & processes to maintain donors, fellows & volunteers database.
- Gather and analyze information about programme implementation & take corrective actions.
- Plan and supervise the departmental as well as individuals' performance.
- Regular updates on social media (per organizations norms)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the donors, corporate, government partners providing nurturance and putting in place mechanisms to support collaboration and cross organizational working.
- **Process**_
- Create effective work planning and management systems to ensure work remains on track and effectively prioritized, including regular strategic reviews of USF programme.
- Develop appropriate tracking metrics to ensure high-quality implementation of USF programme.
- Ensure that all aspects of Udayan Care's functioning in terms of USF Programme fall within the legal framework of the law of the land in general, especially in terms of Child Protection Policy and Media Policy on girl child.
- Design appropriate evaluation tools, including rigorous academic assessment where appropriate
- Ensure the selection of the girls under the programme and holding of workshops as per guidelines
- **Financial**_
- Prepare monthly annual budget and plan for the USF Programme based on previous year and submit the same.
- Create funding proposals under the supervision of HOD for raising funds
- **Administrative**_
- Ensure database of all USFs, core committee members, external stakeholders and resource people is recorded properly.
- S/he shall be responsible for monthly/ quarterly and annual reports on the all the activities of USF Programme.
- Manage administrative events for new batches
- Good understanding & data management experience of ERP process
- Support & train staff on ERP process
- Review & update communications team on content for website, newsletters etc.
Section 4 | Experience & Qualification
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in a relevant field with a social work background.
- Masters in Social Science/ Sociology / Psychology or any other discipline.
- Should have a Police clearance certificate.
- Should have a Criminal self-declaration certificate.
Section 5 | Skills and knowledge

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in computer softwares like Excel, office, powerpoint, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and social values.
- Ability to advocate for children.
- **Knowledge**_
- Knowledge of key requirements of JJ Act 2000/ 2015 for the care & protection of children is a must.
- Awareness of theories of child development & impact of trauma on normal development.
- Understanding of living in group care.
**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
