A Hotel Receptionist, or Front Desk Officer is responsible for welcoming guests and acting as their first point of contact. They log issues or requests and pass them to the correct member of staff, provide information and advice to guests and act as ambassadors for the hotel.

Hotel Receptionist duties and responsibilities
Hotel Receptionists undertake a range of activities in a typical working day, and their duties include:
- Welcoming guests and checking their details against their bookings
- Allocating guests their rooms and providing keys
- Answering phones from prospective customers and guests, taking messages and delivering them
- Completing administrative tasks such as filing and photocopying
- Responding to requests for help and information
- Providing concierge services, such as booking theatre tickets. arranging travel and providing information about local amenities and attractions
- Preparing room bills and ensuring prompt payments
- Checking guests out, taking payments and returning deposits

Post a job**CloseExample 6**As Hotel Receptionist, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests, and your friendly welcoming attitude, is one the key part to making our guests stay as memorable as possible.
Hotel Receptionist responsibilities include check-in/ Check-out, verifying reservations, ensuring payments and folios are balanced, arranging a number of guest requests, coordinating with all departments across the property and most importantly, providing our guests with first class local knowledge and a positive can do attitude, the words "I don't know" are not in our vocabulary.
**Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.**
**Responsibilities**
**- Carry out guest check-in and check-out**
**- Manage online and phone reservations**
**- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms**
**- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities**
**- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner coordinating with Duty Managers**
Pay: From ₹19,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vadapalani, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Education**:
- Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (preferred)
**Experience**:
