**The Manufacturing Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Job Description - Electric Vehicles SME**

**Skills**
- 12-20 years of experience in the Manufacturing Auto Industry, Specifically in the EV domain
- Part of Top Tier 1 IT firms responsible for crafting IT strategy for Manufacturing and EV clients OR part of IT team in any manufacturing Firm
- Thorough understanding of the whole EV value Chain - Electric Motors & Generators, Vehicle Controls, Motor Controls, Special EV Transmissions, Telematics, IoT and BMS.
- The individual must have commercial experience in the automotive field and be proficient in ideating, designing, and implementing process, product, and service solutions.
- An understanding of the latest technology advances, and identifying emerging market trends in the EV domain.
- Commercial experience in ideating, designing, and working with internal and external Stakeholders. Independent strategic thinker to establish partnerships with consultants, academic institutions and other business units.
- Individual should have an in-depth understanding of electric vehicle technologies that encompasses manufacturing, regulatory requirements, and charging infrastructure is essential.

**Responsibilities**
- Create and articulate cohesive strategies, including investment opportunities for Birlasoft business approach in the domain.
- Expand knowledge to further learn preferences, challenges, and trends in the EV domain and make recommendations for business directions within Birlasoft
- Identify and support developing new processes, products, and services in the EV domain
- Participate in the workshops with customers and Sales teams where required to bring in the domain led competency flavour.
- Act as the “go to” person within in the industry vertical for questions and problems within his/her area of expertise.
- Define solutions and propositions to solve real manufacturing business problems with relevant technology solutions
- Evaluate and recommend the right partnerships with Start-ups and smaller partners in the Industry 4.0 area
- Understand requisite knowledge that underlies effective decision-making and is able to describe where anomalies or flaws may occur in the decision-making for his/her area of expertise.
- Conduct research, drive IT led solution team for design plus development of solutions inclusive of production flow, assembly procedures and production equipment.
- Provide input for the design and construction of test cases and scenarios and may also validate executed test results for solutions and some key project
