**Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) - Insurance**
Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
**Business Development**: Identify potential clients, industries, and markets to target for insurance products and services. Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and expand the customer base.
**Sales Target Achievement**: Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets by effectively selling insurance products and upselling to existing clients.
**Relationship Management**:Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, insurance brokers, agents, and key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
**Market Research**: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities to improve our insurance offerings.
**Product Knowledge**: Stay up-to-date with the latest insurance products, coverage options, and industry regulations to effectively communicate and advise clients.
**Proposal Development**: Prepare and present persuasive proposals and quotes tailored to the needs of potential clients.
**Negotiation and Closing Deals**:Lead negotiations with clients to close deals and secure new business opportunities.
**Reporting**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and deals closed using the company's CRM system.
**Team Collaboration**: Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and claims personnel, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
**Sales Planning**: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a sales or business development role.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in the insurance sector.
Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related tools.
Possession of relevant insurance certifications or licenses is a plus.
