Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and deliver IFRS9 delivery for the Corporate and the Investment Bank. This will include impairment and classification and measurement work stream including implementation of the new standard for the local entity reporting where applicable.

This requires Finance professionals who are responsible for internals of legal entities under remit:

- P&L, B/S & Off B/S General ledger postings;
- Supporting the quarterly reporting process to ensure the appropriate level of information is captured to comply with all external and internal reporting requirements.
- Assisting with design and implementation of new financial control and reporting process which meets the relevant requirements of the standard.
- Eliminations mis-match investigation & clearance; follow-up's and stakeholders discussion
The role would require the individual on high data volume with stringent deadlines

What will you be doing?
- Journals as part of Breaks management
- Intercompany reconciliation & Eliminations
- Intercompany settlement
- Management Information (MI)
- Preparation & presentation of LOR & Metrics packs to senior leaders across Finance.
- Continuous Process Improvement
- Data Controls
- Project support
- Senior stakeholder management
- Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) controls
- Compiling dashboard and tracking the progress on Statutory Financials and audit for various entities in the region
- Support Balance Sheet Control in global control initiatives

What we’re looking for:

- Qualified Accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA
- Strong academic background - 1st /2nd class honours, minimum bachelor degree from a reputable institution
- Post qualification experience
- Experience in a month-end or quarter-end focused reporting role
- Knowledge and understanding of the key accounting principles under IFRS
- Experience with transformation, project delivery and change management processes.
- Ability to interact with senior staff across multiple jurisdictions in multiple functions
- Strong controls mindset
- Ability to build strong partnerships across the business with excellent stakeholder management
- Analytical and problem solving skills with ability to think outside the box.
