**Job Summary**:
As a Demi Chef De Partie (DCDP), you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Partie (CDP) in preparing, cooking, and presenting food according to established recipes and standards. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of food quality, ensuring food safety and sanitation practices are followed, and assisting in leading and training junior kitchen staff.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food items as directed by the Chef de Partie (CDP) and in accordance with established recipes, portion control, and quality standards. Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are followed.
Cooking Techniques: Demonstrate proficiency in various cooking techniques, such as sautéing, frying, grilling, baking, and others, as per the requirements of the station or section assigned.
Menu Development: Assist the CDP in developing and executing new menu items, specials, and promotions, and contribute to menu planning and recipe creation.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs, apprentices, and other kitchen assistants. Monitor their work and provide feedback to ensure high-quality food production and adherence to standards.
Kitchen Operations: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-equipped kitchen. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety and sanitation regulations, and hygiene standards. Report any issues or concerns to the CDP.
Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that all food items are prepared to the highest quality standards and presentation, and that they are delivered in a timely manner. Monitor food taste, texture, and appearance, and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing food inventory, including stock rotation, proper storage, and minimizing waste. Notify the CDP or Sous Chef of any shortages or discrepancies in inventory.
Safety and Hygiene: Follow all safety and hygiene practices in the kitchen, including proper handling of equipment, utensils, and chemicals. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work area.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef De Partie (DCDP) or in a similar role, demonstrating culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide leadership to junior kitchen staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and follow instructions.
- Creativity in menu planning, recipe creation, and food presentation.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English and local language(s) is required.
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
