JD - Procurement Assistant/ Purchase Assistant

Age: 21-25Years

Work Location: Madurai (Mattuthavani)

Education: Any degree with Excel knowledge

Experience: 6Months - 2Years in Procurement

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Assisting Procurement Process**: Support the procurement team in the acquisition of goods, services, and materials needed for the organization's operations.

2. **Vendor Communication**: Correspond with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and communicate procurement requirements.

3. **Purchase Order Management**: Generate and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

4. **Supplier Management**: Maintain supplier databases, including contact information, performance evaluations, and contract terms.

5. **Research and Analysis**: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate products and services, and make informed procurement decisions.

6. **Documentation and Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

7. **Supporting Procurement Strategy**: Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost savings, efficiency, and quality.

8. **Coordination with Departments**: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and logistics, to coordinate procurement activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

9. **Quality Assurance**: Participate in quality assurance processes, including inspecting received goods and services to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

10. **Compliance**: Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies, including ethical and sustainability guidelines.

11. **Problem Resolution**: Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the procurement process, working to resolve them efficiently and effectively.

12. **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the procurement function, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
