**Your role at Baxter**:
The Plant Controller for Ahmedabad assumes the role of Site Finance lead for the plant’s end-to-end supply chain. Reporting directly to the Finance Director of Pharma Operations and indirectly to the Plant Leader.

This role oversees an annual budget $50M in Value of production. The plant has a workforce of 1250 employees.

**What you’ll be doing**:
As a member of your Plant Leadership team (SLT), you will drive activities in key workstreams including Compliance, reporting, influence, and leadership. These activities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Provides oversight of all plant related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirements and has ultimate responsibility for their plant’s financial records (P&L and BS)
- Provides relevant, accurate and timely communication of financial performance (past, present, and future). Includes oversight of month end closing, the submission of weekly pulses, the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the preparation of the budgets (annual and long-range plans)
- Support and participate in the standardization and modernization of ISC financial processes.
- Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement (both financial and operational)
- Develop and execute action plans to drive profitable growth.
- Improves financial performance through analysis, mentorship, and accountability. Achieves financial results for KPIs including manufacturing variances, operating income, cash flow, capital investments and value improvement projects (VIP)
- Actively liaise with process business partners (FP&A COE, FPO, BBS, Global ISC) in the pursuit of more efficient and effective ways to fulfill the Plant Controller’s responsibilities.
- Work closely with the APAC regional controller’s group to ensure the following:

- Accounting for legal entities is in line with all local as well as US GAAP accounting rules.
- Annual Audit is completed in a timely manner with no adverse remarks.
- Tax returns for all legal entities are prepared and in line with local taxation rules and submitted within given timelines.
- All annual compliance towards legal entity is duly complied with.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Master’s degree, preferably in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Chartered Accountant
- Experience in Finance Leadership function, preferably in a Manufacturing environment with minimum 12 years of experience
- Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing change
- Has effectively communicated at all levels of the organization in both formal and informal environment
- Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization
- Capable of executing a business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices
- Maintains a strong presence, with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships.
- Experience working with Lean concepts and tools is preferred
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Experience within a multinational company is a plus.
- Experience with JDE system is a plus.
