**Required Functional Competencies**

Ø Thorough knowledge on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) Standards.**1.** **JOB PURPOSE**

The position will be responsible for integrating sustainability across business units

Rolling out new sustainability initiatives, ensuring timeliness of plans and implementation of internal sustainability goals and milestones.

**1.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

Develop an ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) strategy for the organisation and prepare a roadmap for its implementation, monitoring and assessment.

**Agri
- Practices**:
Ø Bring change in Cane cultivation & practices to reduce Carbon footprint.

Improved agronomic practices, drip irrigation, mulching and switchover to non-fossil fuel based fertilizers etc.

Design/draft protocols to implement such initiatives which will generate carbon credits.

Target to brand our products Sugar/Ethanol as ECO friendly products

Ø Bringing fuel reduction strategies in H&T(Harvesting & Transportation) by deploying green vehicles for transportation etc

**Unit Operations**:
Ø Efforts to make a complete switchover over to green Fuels, reduction of energy & steam consumption per unit of output, automation of processes, capturing escaping Methane & CO2, total recycling of cane water, reducing ground water usage etc.,

Ø Design and implement Waste disposal safety, non-polluting protocols, operations safety etc

Ø Make policies &Develop processes relating to energy efficiency, Life Cycle assessments, facing the climate challenges and overall environment.

Ø Performance evaluation of assets by analyzing the design and run time data

Ø Identification of base line energy and emission projections. Introduce suitable interventions to bridge the gap between the base line Vs target emissions for the year.

Ø Develop sustainability knowledge Decks for the organisation

Ø Conduct Audits to monitor progress and identify areas of improvement

Ø Mapping the KPIs to Sustainability Standards and track the ESG performance of the organisation.

**Governance**:
Ø Study the International governance norms as enunciated by UN& other bodies and examine / identify which are relevant to our industry in particular and write down protocols, in such way those can be implemented.

**General**:
Ø Put efforts on improving the ESG Score / Rating.

Ø Perform cost benefit analysis such as NPV and accordingly prioritize the implementation of the interventions identified.

Ø Social Return on Investment (SROI) assessment to understand and quantify the social, environmental and economic value created by the organisation.

Ø Peer analysis and benchmarking of the organization’s sustainability performance.

**Educational Qualifications**

Ø B.Tech / M.Tech (Environment) /MBA in Sustainability Management / M.Sc. Sustainability

**Experience**

Ø Around 15yrs of experience

**Language Skills Required**:
Ø English & Hindi

**Age Band**:
Ø 40 yrs - 50yrs

**Required Functional Competencies**
