Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Transition Management to oversee and drive the seamless transition of BFSI projects and processes within ITES environment. The role requires a leader with exceptional project management skills and in-depth understanding of BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multi-functional teams, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering smooth process transitions within agreed timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Transition Management : Lead the transition of BFSI projects/processes from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to ensure the smooth handover of processes, with a focus on clear communication and alignment on expectations.
- Transition Planning : Design and implement detailed transition plans including resource allocation, risk management, and timeline tracking, ensuring all transition phases are well-documented.
- Process Optimization : Identify opportunities for process improvement during the transition phase and recommend enhancements to drive operational efficiency and productivity.
- Client Engagement : Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring that all transition milestones are clearly communicated and met.
- Risk Management : Proactively identify transition risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans as needed to ensure a smooth transition process.
- Budget Management : Oversee transition budgets and ensure that transitions are delivered within financial parameters, with a focus on cost optimization and value delivery.
- Performance Monitoring : Track and report on the progress of transitions, ensuring that KPIs, timelines, and budgets are adhered to. Use analytics and reporting tools to measure transition success.
- Compliance & Governance : Ensure all transitions adhere to regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and client-specific compliance protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Management, IT, or a related field. MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
Experience :
- 12-15 years of experience in transition management within the ITES/BPO sector, with a focus on BFSI processes.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale transitions in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of BFSI industry processes, compliance requirements, and risk management.
- Project Management : Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Prince2, or Agile) with the ability to lead complex, multi-location transitions.
- Leadership : Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and guide cross-functional teams.
- Analytical Skills : Ability to assess risks, make data-driven decisions, and provide innovative solutions to transition challenges.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and clients.
- Technical Skills : Familiarity with IT systems, process automation, and transition management tools.
