Job Description
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for both direct and indirect taxation.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize the organization's overall tax position
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate and timely direct tax returns at local and international levels.
  • Stay abreast of changes in direct tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for tax optimization
  • Lead the management of indirect taxes, including VAT/GST, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of indirect tax returns in accordance with relevant jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with the finance team to integrate direct and indirect tax considerations into financial reporting processes.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Identify and assess risks related to both direct and indirect taxation, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular internal reviews to ensure compliance with tax policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address tax-related queries and ensure seamless communication between departments.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing tax team covering both direct and indirect tax functions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaboration within the tax team.
The Successful Applicant
  • CA with more than 15 years of experience in tax management, covering both direct and indirect taxation.
  • In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws and regulations, both domestically and internationally.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
