About Our Client

Our Client is a leading firm, known for its innovation and commitment to excellence. With its rapid expansion, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Tax to oversee both direct and indirect taxation. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, and contributing to the financial success of the organization.

Job Description

Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for both direct and indirect taxation. Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize the organization's overall tax position Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate and timely direct tax returns at local and international levels. Stay abreast of changes in direct tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for tax optimization Lead the management of indirect taxes, including VAT/GST, sales tax, and other applicable taxes. Ensure accurate and timely filing of indirect tax returns in accordance with relevant jurisdictions Coordinate with the finance team to integrate direct and indirect tax considerations into financial reporting processes. Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Identify and assess risks related to both direct and indirect taxation, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies. Conduct regular internal reviews to ensure compliance with tax policies and procedures. Build and maintain effective relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address tax-related queries and ensure seamless communication between departments. Lead and develop a high-performing tax team covering both direct and indirect tax functions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaboration within the tax team.

The Successful Applicant

CA with more than 15 years of experience in tax management, covering both direct and indirect taxation. In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws and regulations, both domestically and internationally. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
