Role Overview: The Business Development Engineer will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential clients, understanding their unique technical requirements, and designing custom solutions using FairCloud AI's services. This role demands a strong balance of technical expertise and business acumen to address client challenges and deliver impactful solutions. You will be a driving force in shaping new business opportunities and growing our client base while collaborating with internal teams to refine our offerings. Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition & Engagement:
• Identify and connect with potential clients through market research, networking, and outreach initiatives.
• Actively participate in client meetings, calls, and presentations to understand their business goals and technical challenges.
• Build trust-based, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including CTOs, CIOs, and other stakeholders. Needs Assessment & Solution Design:
• Conduct detailed consultations to identify client pain points and requirements for software applications, backend infrastructures, and full-stack solutions.
• Develop tailored solutions by collaborating with engineering teams, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with client objectives.
• Create technical proposals, architecture diagrams, and project plans that clearly define deliverables, timelines, and costs. Presentation & Negotiation:
• Deliver persuasive presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of FairCloud AI's offerings, emphasizing ROI and technical benefits.
• Address technical and non-technical client queries confidently, simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining a balance between client satisfaction and company profitability. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
• Work closely with the engineering and product teams to translate client needs into actionable project deliverables.
• Provide client feedback to help refine FairCloud AI's services, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with market demands.
• Partner with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that resonate with specific client segments. Business Growth & Strategy:
• Identify emerging trends in the tech and cloud markets, proactively positioning FairCloud AI as a leader in the space.
• Contribute to business strategy discussions, leveraging insights from client interactions to influence future product development.
• Meet or exceed revenue targets by consistently acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones. Required Qualifications: Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus. Experience:
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar role, such as business development, pre-sales engineering, or client solutions in a tech-focused organization.
• Proven success in identifying, acquiring, and retaining clients in the software or cloud technology domain. Technical Expertise:
• Solid understanding of backend infrastructure, cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), software development lifecycles, and tech stack architectures.
• Familiarity with AI, DevOps, or cloud cost-optimization tools is an advantage. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
• Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain client relationships. Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
• Adept at identifying client challenges and translating them into practical, value-driven solutions.
• Ability to conduct competitive analysis and position FairCloud AI as a leader in the market. Key Skills:
