Sandfits has 3 foundries with a capacity of 60000 tons PA. Sandfits has a dedicated machine shop to deliver precision iron components to customers worldwide. Sandfits Foundries are located in and around Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India and has a certified IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
Job Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the export activities of the company, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and maintaining excellent relationships with international customers. This role requires effective coordination with internal teams, handling logistics, and ensuring on-time delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- International Customer Interaction : Engage with international customers to obtain firm and forecast schedules.
- Customer Portal Management : Access customer portals on a daily/weekly basis and update planning/production teams with changes.
- Team Handling : Lead and manage the internal team across the functions to ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF)
- Resource Planning : Plan and organize resources to meet shipping and dispatch schedules.
- Process Evaluation : Identify opportunities to reduce risks and/or costs in export control activities.
- Logistics Coordination : Handle forwarders and supplier partners to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with import and export regulations.
- Communication : Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Negotiation : Negotiate with customers and settle forex and other cost factors.
- Business Planning : Prepare and monitor annual business plans.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) : Maintain CRM systems and support marketing leads.
- Accounts Receivable : Manage accounts receivable for export customers.
- Warehouse Monitoring : Oversee warehouse activities in coordination with forwarders/service providers.
- Travel : Be willing and able to travel internationally, as required.
- Sales Reporting : Report weekly sales to the immediate superior.
- Problem Escalation : Act as a point of escalation for complex, non-routine problems related to export activities.
Qualifications:
- Education : Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
Master’s degree in business administration with experience in Logistics, International Trade and customer handling.
- Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in export management.
- Skills :
Strong negotiation, and Excellent communication skills.
Thorough understanding of import and export compliance requirements
