Job Description

Location: Pune and Bengaluru

Experience: 0 - 2 Years

Job Purpose

The business development executive is responsible for improving the sales and ensuring revenue growth for the business units assigned. This would include qualifying and generating new sales leads, obtaining meetings with prospects, qualifying the leads, following them up and closing them with the support of the P&L and Delivery leadership. This candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources and drive them to closure.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify target accounts for software services in ERD - Engineering Research & Development – space in Automotive & Industrial segments.
  • Generate leads from these accounts & set up meetings for an introductory pitch.
  • Mine the existing accounts & set up meetings for an introductory pitch with new connects within the same accounts(Existing connects will be handled by Projects team)
  • Rigorous follow-up to create opportunities & convert them to Orders.
  • Create sufficient pipeline of opportunities to meet assigned targets for funnel size, bookings, billings and collections.
  • Work closely with the delivery team, as well as with the sales teams of other group companies to develop existing group (SFO) accounts.
  • Take ownership of & work closely with HR/Partner teams for fulfilling staff augmentation opportunities
  • Adhere to review cadence, create & send regular reports on leadgen, funnel, etc
  • About 60 % of in-person facetime with customers, prospects on a weekly basis – in-person 4-5 meetings per week at the minimum.
  • Create a list of target accounts in the assigned verticals and for NeST Digital’s services, in association with internal stakeholders – Sales team, P&L leaders
  • Identify stakeholders within each target account through desk research and categorise them (Purchasing, technical, innovation, CxO etc.)
  • Understand NeST Digital’s value proposition and develop content for mailers, flyers, and phone scripts with the help of Sales and Marketing managers for each category of accounts and stakeholders
  • Reach out to the target accounts via the established channels (emails and telephone) and mass communication such as LinkedIn Navigator.
  • Use alternative lead generation mechanisms (including, but not limited to participation in events, tradeshows, webinars) to generate leads for NeST Digtial
  • Keep a live tracker for all leads and have regular follow-up cadence with Sales
  • Work with the P&L, Delivery and Technology Excellence functionsn to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
  • Consolidate the inputs from lead generation interactions and provide that data to support the business development, Account management and pre-sales team

Knowledge, skills and experience

Educational Qualification

MBA/PGDM with a Bachelors in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech)

Experience

1-2 years of experience in IT Services organisation or sales profiles before or after post-graduation

A fair understanding of the software business and overall technology landscape
