This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making within Ciena’s commercial functions. Join us to leverage your expertise in AI and commercial strategy to deliver intelligent solutions that align with our business objectives and create measurable value.  How You Will Contribute Analyze commercial processes and workflows to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation, focusing on ROI and impactful outcomes. Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for automation across commercial functions. Design and implement AI-powered tools to automate tasks, enhance accuracy, and enable predictive analytics for strategic decision-making. Partner with cross-functional teams to architect workflows integrating automation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Generate actionable insights from large datasets using AI and machine learning to optimize forecasting, pricing, and deal execution. Collaborate with data analytics and IT teams to seamlessly integrate AI solutions, maximizing their commercial impact. Monitor and refine implemented AI solutions, driving continuous improvement to adapt to evolving business needs and market dynamics.  The Must Haves Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in solutioning, process improvement, or automation within commercial functions, with a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes. Certifications in AI, machine learning, or cloud technologies are highly desirable. Expertise in process improvement methodologies and their application to commercial operations. Demonstrated success in implementing AI solutions in enterprise environments, ideally within technology or telecom sectors. Proficiency in AI, machine learning, and data analytics frameworks, with a focus on commercial and financial processes. Strong knowledge of commercial processes such as pricing, quoting, forecasting, and deal management. Expertise in streamlining complex business processes into clear and concise communications.  Nice to Haves Familiarity with financial systems, tools, and frameworks for budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Experience with business automation tools driving measurable improvements. Ability to translate technical solutions into financial and commercial value propositions aligned with business objectives. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills focused on delivering impactful commercial solutions. Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging technical and non-technical audiences. Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
