IMPORTANT: Xero and Accounting Systems experience is highly preferred for this role.
The Australian Bookkeeper will provide crucial support to the ASGI team and be responsible for the effective operations of all financial accounting systems to meet business needs, financial objectives and reporting requirements.
Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, this is a key role that will impact all aspects of finance related business processes and play a pivotal role in improving and automating the financial, accounting and reporting processes. 
This role will also oversee the efficient and accurate maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the financial and related accounting systems to ensure effective operation and functionality, and accuracy and integrity of data and reporting structure.
  • Daily reconciliation of clients’ accounts through Xero and other Systems/Platforms
  • Accounts management, invoicing, and receivables
  • Process and prepare financial and business forms for checking account balances
  • Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports
  • Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
  • Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entry is correct
  • Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with clients
  • Assist in creating financial reports on a regular basis
  • Provide recommendations to support continuous improvement of financial business systems and processes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to build and incorporate financial systems improvements, functionality, reporting and controls.
  • Prepare and maintain financial report models to assist stakeholders with planning and decision-making.
  • Manage system updates.
  • Review and recommend updates to financial systems policies.
  • Manage master databases in Maxio, Xero, CostTracker, and HubSpot or equivalent systems.
  • These will include such areas as Customers, Suppliers, Fixed Asset Register, General Ledger etc.

Requirements Experience: Three years relevant experience in a similar role. 
Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial principles, terminology, and processes. Proficiency in basic accounting practices and financial software and tools.
Knowledge:   Up to date relevant knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial record keeping and reporting.
Organisational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and external parties.
Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in using spreadsheets, accounting software, and other relevant financial tools. Experience with popular accounting software is mandatory.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, work independently on assigned tasks, and contribute to the overall success of the finance department.
Internal Controls: An understanding of financial controls and reflecting these through workflows and controls on financial systems.
Organization:  Good time management, able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, with ability to prioritize competing demands and tasks. Dynamic:   Open and flexible to the changing demands of the organization.
Benefits 1.  Monthly Salary: Php35,000
2.   Salary will be paid on a bi-monthly basis on the 15th and 30th or 31st of each month
3.   You will be paid extra for overtime and Philippines public holidays
4.   Probation: 6 months and after Probation             
  • 10 days annual leave credits       
  • 5 days of sick leave
5. HMO offered after 6-months probation
6. 13th Month Pay after 30 days
7. Laptop provided after 30 days
8. Permanent work-from-home role.  You will have to use your own internet.
9. Annual Appraisal
10. SHIFT TIMES: 7:00am to 4:00pm Philippine time, Monday to Friday
