POSITION DETAILS: Job Title : Sr. Officer QA Job Code: Officer.QA.Supplychain Grade: O3 SBU: Supply Chain Job Family: Quality Business: Transmission & Distribution Location: Jabalpur Date: Nov 2025 Organizational Structure: JOB DUTIES Job Summary: Responsible for Quality Assurance and Inspection of Quality Standard Key Accountabilities Duty Statements Planning & Implementation: Accountable for inspection and monitoring Quality Assurance activities Liaison with external bodies for Quality related activities Development of Quality Systems and Techniques for up-gradation & Improvements in Product Quality and Process Responsible for execution and implementing QPM-2 Responsible for establishing Sampling Plan and Inspection Procedure for Inspection of Incoming, Process and Finish Material Responsible for development for Production Up-gradation and Improvement in Product Quality and Process at Vendor’s Responsible for ensuring Corrective/Preventive action for improvement Supervising: Support Materials team in development and self certification of key vendors Facilitate, track, monitor and drive QBM projects across Supply Chain Ensure QA of Vendors is done through audits as well as joint development Monitor supplier and contractor performance with respect to approval MQP Prepare and submit periodical report on QA/ QC activities to HO Liable for Quality surveillance of site activities and for internal audit at sites DIMENSIONS: People Management (Yes/ No): Yes Staff Reporting (If Yes): Financial Activities (If Any): No CAPABILITY REQUIRED: Key Interactions: Internal Customers:  Head-Works GM-Manufacturing Head-Quality External Customers: Yes, Auditors, Clients Knowledge & Skill Requirements (Abilities & Expertise in field) Personal Attributes Knowledge (Technical / Functional): Hands on knowledge of SQC (II) TPM and TQM concept and deployment on shop floor (II) Awareness about steel & Metallurgical Quality Standards (I) CII Excellence Model preferable (II) Commitment : has the drive and energy displaying the same level of motivation and enthusiasm for all the tasks (III) Decision Making : has the ability to make a logical choice from the available options (IV) Relationship building: has to ability to build and actively maintain working relationshipsand network of contacts to achieve the organization’s goals (II) Crucial attributes for this job: (IV) 1.
