Responsibilities:
Develop and implement EHS policiesprocedures and programs to ensure compliance with relevant lawsregulations and standards including ISO 45001 and ISO14001.
Represent Company in external audits likeStatutory & Notified body.
Conduct regularinspections audits and risk assessments to identify potentialhazards evaluate existing controls and recommendimprovements.
Develop Implement and establish safe workpractices.
Ensure compliance with all applicableenvironmental health and safety regulations and statutoryrequirements including but not limited to local state and centralgovernment regulations.
Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to ensure that all statutory compliance requirements relatedto environment health and safety are met.
Design anddeliver training programs on EHS topics to enhance employeeawareness knowledge and compliance with safetyprotocols.
Foster a strong safety culture throughout theorganization by promoting best practices providing
guidance and engaging employees in safety initiatives.
Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and implementcorrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Monitor andtrack EHS performance metrics prepare reports and present findingsto senior management.
Stay up to date with emerging EHSregulations industry trends and best practices and ensure timelyimplementation and compliance within the organization.
Liaise with regulatory agencies external auditors and otherstakeholders on EHS matters ensuring compliance with all reportingand documentation requirements. Managerelationships with regulatory agencies external auditors and otherstakeholders to facilitate inspections certifications andpermits.
Develop and maintain effective emergencyresponse plans and procedures conducting drills and exercisesperiodically.
Collaborate with engineering andmaintenance teams to ensure that equipment machinery and facilitiesmeet EHS requirements.
Qualifications andSkills:
Bachelorsdegree in occupational health and safety Environmental ScienceEngineering or a related field. A relevant professionalcertification is preferred.
Proven experience (1015years) in a similar role in manufacturing industry.
Indepth knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards and theirimplementation.
Familiarity with Indian EHS lawsregulations and statutory requirements.
Strongunderstanding of safety management systems risk assessmenttechniques and accident investigation methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectivelyengage and train employees at all levels of theorganization.
Well verse with Local languageMalayalam.
Analytical mindset with the ability tocollect analyze and interpret EHS data and metrics.
Proactive approach to problemsolving with a strong attention todetail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and EHSmanagement software.
