Job Description
An accounting organization is seeking to hire a Bookkeeper. Ideally looking for someone who has previous experience working at a CPA firm and has a background handling their own book of clients. In this seat, you will be doing tax prep and returns and using QuickBooks software. The right candidate for this position has used QuickBooks, has CPA firm experience, and is familiar with tax services, preps, returns, etc. 

Responsibilities:

- Conduct general ledger reconciliation
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Manage bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Utilize double-entry bookkeeping to record financial transactions
- Handle debits and credits accurately
- Apply financial concepts to support decision-making


Requirements - Proficiency in technical accounting practices
- Strong 10-key typing skills
- Experience with account reconciliation
- Familiarity with financial software and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles such as debits and credits
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with billing service work in an accurate & timely manner Close service work order jobs daily/weekly to meet monthly revenue goals Ensure funds are collected prior to invoicing Manage Service Dept. employee pay records Review all posted labor to work orders for hourly employees daily Review and approve hourly employee payroll records daily Provide weekly payroll report to the Payroll Dept. Provide Payroll Dept. detail required for Certified Payroll/Prevailing Wage work orders Ensure receipt of technician service reports Issue purchase orders for all outside purchases Resolve vendor inquiries for payments and discrepancies Handle inbound calls & ensure calls are appropriately rerouted Distribute interoffice billing Maintain filing system and compose correspondence QUALIFICATIONS: Strong computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software applications) Proven mathematical capability Strong oral and written communication skills Proven organizational skills and ability to multitask
