About the TeamThe LSC team at Navi serves as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring the company's operations align with legal and regulatory frameworks. The team oversees corporate governance, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and facilitating effective board and shareholder engagements. The team proactively manages compliance across multiple regulated sectors, adapting to evolving regulatory landscapes.About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal guidance to senior stakeholders on optimizing debt management processes. This includes ensuring that all processes are ethical, compliant, and scalable. You will oversee and resolve debt-related disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel when needed. A key part of the role involves conducting in-depth legal research to support litigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will collaborate with internal business, compliance, and legal teams to create practical solutions aligned with business objectives. Additionally, you will build and maintain relationships with external legal partners and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth legal operations.What We Expect From YouAdvise senior stakeholders on legal strategies for optimizing debt management processes, ensuring they are ethical, compliant, and scalable.Oversee and resolve debt-related disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel when required.Conduct in-depth legal research to support litigation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.Work with internal business, compliance, and legal teams to create practical solutions aligned with business goals.Build and maintain relationships with external legal partners and regulatory bodies.Must HavesExperience with over 8 years in litigation processes, civil procedure, and relevant laws and regulations in India, with prior experience in debt management in banks, NBFCs, or asset reconstruction companies being highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and execute effective legal strategies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.Having good industry relationships with peers handling debt recovery in banks, NBFCs, or asset reconstruction companies will be desirable.Inside NaviWe are shaping the future of financial services for a billion Indians through products that are simple, accessible, and affordable.
