Cybersecurity DevSecOpsEngineer
Rolesand Responsibilities Requirements :
  • TheCybersecurity DevSecOps Engineer is asecurityfocused engineer dedicated to enhancing the securityposture throughout the DOL DevSecOpslifecycle.
  • Drive the unification andautomation of processes to enable development of softwarecapability across the entire DOL organization instrumental incombining code application maintenance and applicationmanagement.
  • Define implement and maintainsecure pipelines promoting a culture of rapid and safe iteration;Design and refine scalable and reliableCI/CD processes with a securityfirstapproach.
  • Develop and enhance a robust buildpipeline automating secure build/artifact deliveryand Page 21 of 77deployment.
  • Use your expertiseto identify and mitigate security risks always prioritizingreasoning and facts.
  • Collaborate with theexisting team to integrate and improve upon current infrastructurewith security best practices.
  • Conduct threatmodeling and risk assessments ensuring that potentialvulnerabilities are identified and addressedcollaboratively.
  • Lead and participate insecurity training and awareness initiatives for the developmentteam.
  • Develop and maintain an incident responseplan ensuring preparedness in the event of a securitybreach.
  • Collaborate with other developers toaddress security concerns at the root and craft lasting solutions.
  • Works actively with application developmentteams DOL security/ISO Infrastructure and other teams to coordinate and optimize the steps that executewithin the DevOps ecosystem and bringconsistency and security best practices in approach tools andstandards.
  • Experience Requirements: Bachelor sdegree with seven (10) plus years ITdevelopment experience (with a minimum of 5years of experience in DevSecOps practice &tools).
  • Experience building DevSecOps servicesin IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Cloud (AWS Azure)environments and good understanding of their securityconsiderations.
  • Familiarity withcontainerization and orchestration tools like Dockerand Kubernetes.
  • Experience withKubernetes Docker and/or other cloud orchestrationtechnologies.
  • Experience withCI/CD best practices automated builds and testsquality gates software quality and CI tools i.e.Jenkins Ansible Terraform etc.
  • Experience withconfiguration management tools i.e. Git GitHub GitLabBitbucket others.
  • Familiaritywith branching strategies gated commits sourcecontrolled managementetc.
  • Familiarity with the principleof DevSecOps ; Atlassian JIRA or otherdefect tracking tool experience.
  • AtlassianConfluence GitLab/GitHub Jenkins and artifact repositoryexperience.
  • Familiarity with security codingstandard best practices static and dynamic scanning tools i.e.SonarQube Fortify Coverity PCLint etc.
  • Programming and scriptingexperience in a UNIX environment (Bash Shell PowerShell Perl PythonBash Ruby Shell Scripts).
  • Must haveAgile/SAFe and other related developercertifications and or demonstrate equivalent experience Experiencewith tools and methodologies for code vulnerability andscanning.
