Group Asset Manager

Job Description:

  • Subject Matter Expert on our systems and processes for asset accounting (including software development) in our global S/4HANA system and coordinator/advisor of local accounting processes
  • Coordinator and liaison between FP&A and Tech functions to ensure that accounting reflects commercial reality and supports quality internal reporting to project leads and tech leadership
  • Manager of accounting records and controls to ensure that asset accounting is properly documented and carried out in compliance with policy and IFRS
  • Counterpart for all inquiries and audits into assets, including in particular the external audits under IFRS
  • First port of call for any internal queries/discussions around capex policy and application to technology projects


Key Stakeholders:

  • Group Financial Controller, who is ultimate owner of all accounting
  • Technology teams, including CTO and a number of project managers
  • Technology Finance Business Partner (in FP&A), to ensure quality of reporting and liaison with technology teams
  • External auditors
  • Entity and regional accountants and controllers


Your Profile:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in managing accounting processes in larger organisations
  • Experience with S/4HANA would be highly desirable and in particular project or asset-based activities
  • Experience of designing, implementing and operating controls and documentation to a high standard in large organisations across multiple teams
  • Experience of accounting for technology (and IAS 38 in particular) would be highly desirable
  • Ability to challenge and apply critical thinking, including evidence of being able to respond to and implement change effectively
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data and make sense of them
  • Fluency in English
