Job Summary: -

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented L0 Monitoring Analyst to join our IT Operations team. This role requires unwavering commitment to ensuring the reliability and performance of critical IT systems, applications, and services. As the first point of contact for system alerts and events, the L0 Monitoring Analyst plays a pivotal role in maintaining business continuity by providing timely responses, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring precise communication and escalation. This position is ideal for individuals who excel under pressure, value precision, and have a proactive approach to incident management.

Key Responsibility: -

1. Proactive Monitoring:

2. Continuously monitor key IT systems, network devices, applications, jobs, and services using advanced monitoring tools (e.g., JP1, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, SCOM, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, OpsRamp).

3. Actively identify and acknowledge alerts, events, and anomalies, ensuring no critical issue goes unnoticed.

4. Incident Identification and Escalation:

5. Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, performing initial triage and basic troubleshooting tasks (e.g., service restarts, disk clean-up commands if permitted).

6. Escalate unresolved or high-severity incidents to L1/L2 support teams as per escalation protocols.

7. Adherence to SOPs:

8. Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident handling, escalation, and documentation.

9. Ensure all actions align with predefined workflows and organizational policies.

10. Precise and Timely Communication:

11. Maintain clear and concise communication with on-call engineers, shift leads, and stakeholders to ensure seamless incident resolution.

12. Provide detailed and accurate updates during escalations and shift handovers.

13. Documentation and Reporting:

14. Log all incidents, actions taken, and resolution or escalation steps in IT Service Management (ITSM) tools with precision.

15. Contribute to incident reviews, providing insights on recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

16. Tool and Dashboard Maintenance:

17. Ensure monitoring tools and dashboards are fully operational, reporting any issues or inconsistencies promptly.

18. Suggest enhancements to monitoring configurations to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.

Mandatory skills: -

• Technical Skills:
• Foundational understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, operating systems, networks, and applications).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms is mandatory.
• Behavioural Skills:
• Strong commitment to ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Ability to respond to incidents with urgency and precision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on concise and clear updates.
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow SOPs diligently.
• Work Schedule:
• Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualification: -Exposure to ITIL processes (Incident, Event, and Change Management) is highly

desirable.

Certification in IT/Networking (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, CCNA) is a plus.

Experience: years of experience in IT monitoring, helpdesk, or similar roles.
