Job Title: Mainframe Developer Location: Chennai, India Experience: 3 – 6 Years Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent "Should work at client workplace" We are looking for a Mainframe Developer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and MVS, along with a solid understanding of mainframe development and support activities. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and MVS . Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions. Perform debugging, performance tuning, and production support. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery. Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer when required. Required Skills: Programming Languages: COBOL Job Control: JCL Databases: DB2 File Systems: VSAM Operating System: MVS / z/OS Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good understanding of SDLC and change management processes Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Additional Details: Work Location: Chennai (On-site / Hybrid as per project requirement) Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred
