The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and MVS, along with a solid understanding of mainframe development and support activities.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and MVS .Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.Perform debugging, performance tuning, and production support.Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer when required.Required Skills:Programming Languages: COBOLJob Control: JCLDatabases: DB2File Systems: VSAMOperating System: MVS / z/OSStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of SDLC and change management processesExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAdditional Details:Work Location: Chennai (On-site / Hybrid as per project requirement)Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred
