About the Role:

The

Associate Director, Product Operations

will contribute to product development and the project management required to ensure successful on-time launches of the Global New portfolio. They will implement strategies to optimize product development operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation, streamlined workflows, and timely deliveries. Increasing our operational capacity and throughput for all programs will be critical to unlocking ongoing growth for the business, and this role will lead the Product Operations team’s ability to unlock that growth and see it through to successful delivery. This role reports directly to the Head of Global Product.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Support : Assist and enable the Product team in the production and maintenance of product strategy, by ensuring effective, reliable communication, providing necessary resources & tools, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to build, publish and execute the plan.Business Alignment : Be focused on both supporting the Product function as well as supporting and enabling the entire business with what they need from the Product teams to sell, support and market the product. Serve as key facilitator in Global business line fiscal year planning.Data-informed Decision-making : Leverage and provide data and analysis to inform decisions that drive continuous improvement and help guide the overall product strategy. Facilitate the establishment of objectives and key results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure these metrics are tracked and reported consistently across teams.Valued Communication : Ensure that Product communicates clearly, efficiently and regularly with internal stakeholders with information and updates that have value and they can easily consume and reuse in their own roles.Iterative Improvement : Ensure existing product operating processes are needed and add value, focusing on processes for data, communications, collaboration specific to our business. Implement a good change management mindset in rolling out iterations of all changes.Cross-functional Collaboration : Foster open communication and facilitate alignment between various groups, such as Product, Design, Marketing, and Delivery, ensuring everyone works towards common goals. Use project management methodologies to drive outcomes through milestones, timelines and risk mitigation to execute on the Global New portfolio.Team Communications : Oversee, manage and optimize cadence of cross-functional stakeholder meetings as well as internal Product team meetings. Ensure agendas and decks are set and track key next steps.Team Management : Oversee and support a team of Managers responsible for day-to-day project management of global new course development. Provide feedback early and often as well as offer professional development guidance for team members.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years in product operations role in educational spaces, 3+ years project management experience preferredKnowledgeable of organizational tech stack including: Wrike, Airtable, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Tableau, Google Looker, ConfluenceAction-oriented and decisive. Comfortable operating and being proactive in conditions of ambiguity.Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking. Able to prioritize as organization priorities change.Ease working cross-functionally. Able to align information proactively from multiple sources and stakeholders.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both details and summaries of project updates to internal stakeholders.Previous team management experience.
