The first project with a capacity of 8000 kg of mushrooms per day will be established at Bilgi, Bagalkot District, Karnataka India. The design stage is almost completed. The detailed design and procurement process is underway. We expect to break ground in December 2025 and commence operations in the Quarter beginning Nov, 2026Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager at Verdant Champignons located at Bilgi, in Bagalkot District. The General Manager will be responsible for daily operations. He must have excellent control on the composting process, casing production and growing room operations including climate control and harvesting. He should have a demonstrated track record of producing high quality mushrooms, with industry leading yields. This role involves leading a team, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of service and quality and achievement of business goals. Responsibilities include analyzing operational data, coordinating with different departments, and implementing policies to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.QualificationsProven track record in mushroom production with high quality and yields.experience with computer controlled climate control systemsLeadership and team management skillsStrategic planning and business development experienceFinancial management, budgeting, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesBachelor's degree in biotechnology, mycology, microbiology, or a related field
