Role Description
Experience and knowledge of transportation/logistics Industry are must-haves to apply.
Lead Generation: Implement lead generation strategies to identify and qualify potential business opportunities. Utilize various channels, such as online platforms, industry events, and partnerships, to generate leads.
Vehicle and Equipment Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's transportation services, including routes, capabilities, and specializations. Understanding the consignment and suitable vehicle for it.
Understanding Customer Needs: Conduct needs assessments to understand the specific transportation requirements of potential clients.
Negotiation and Pricing: Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements. Work closely with pricing teams to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.
Coordinating with the Operations team: Working out rates of different routes in coordination with the operations team. Monitoring with the operations team to ensure timely placement of vehicles.
Coordination with Customers/Clients:  Interacting with customers for the approval of rates and PO. Coordination with customers for indents of FTL requirements. Timely update of payment follow-up and outstanding remarks.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Implement and manage CRM systems to track customer interactions, gather feedback, and improve customer satisfaction.
Networking: Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and sponsorships to increase the company's visibility. Network with potential clients and partners to build relationships.
Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports to management on key marketing metrics and outcomes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
Excellent market research and analysis abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Understanding of the logistics industry is a plus
Fluency in English and Hindi is required
