Job Summary:

The Planning Coordinator will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling production schedules to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products. The role requires close coordination with production, procurement, quality, and sales teams to balance capacity, resources, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities in line with customer orders and company targets.
  • Monitor daily production progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and tools.
  • Maintain communication with sales and customer service teams to update order status and delivery timelines.
  • Analyze capacity utilization, bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.
  • Generate weekly/monthly production planning reports and highlight deviations.
  • Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for optimizing lead times and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies in all planning activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in production planning or coordination within a manufacturing setup (preferably precision engineering/automotive/aerospace).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material planning, and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under strict deadlines.
