Duties & responsibilities

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, your primary responsibility is to attract, source, and hire qualified candidates for various positions within the organization. Your role involves collaborating with hiring managers and HR teams to understand staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, source potential candidates, conduct assessments, and facilitate the hiring process. Here is a sample job description for a Talent Acquisition Specialist:

Collaborate with hiring managers to clearly understand their staffing needs and create comprehensive job descriptions and specifications for open positions.

Utilize various sourcing channels such as job portals, social media, professional networks, and referrals to identify potential candidates.

Screen resumes, conduct phone screenings, and initial interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural fit for specific roles.

Conduct thorough candidate assessments utilizing appropriate tools and techniques such as interviews, psychometric tests, and competency evaluations.

Act as the main point of contact for both candidates and hiring managers throughout the interview process, ensuring clear communication and a positive candidate experience.

Coordinate and schedule interviews, assessments, and other selection processes, ensuring efficient and timely completion.

Collaborate with hiring managers and HR to negotiate and finalize job offers with selected candidates.

Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and proper orientation to the organizational culture, policies, and procedures.

Stay updated on market trends, recruitment best practices, and legislation related to talent acquisition to continuously improve recruitment strategies and processes.

Track and analyze recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, candidate quality, and diversity metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and documentation in the applicant tracking system.

Employee specification

Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role.

Solid knowledge of recruitment practices, including sourcing techniques, interview methods, and candidate assessment tools.

Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with different stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple hiring needs simultaneously.

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

High level of integrity and professionalism, treating all candidates with respect and maintaining confidentiality.

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to recruitment and selection processes.
