Designation : AGM/DGM - Corporate Affairs (Transaction Manager)

Position Summary:
The AGM/DGM - Corporate Affairs will play a critical role in managing land transactions and
new acquisition deals for a large hotel development company. Reporting to the President, this
individual will lead, strategize, and execute transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements while maximizing value for the company. The role requires a deep understanding
of real estate, legal, and financial aspects of acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Management:
o Oversee all aspects of land acquisition and new property deals.
o Negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, and other transaction-related
documents.
o Collaborate with legal and financial teams to ensure proper due diligence is
conducted for each transaction.
o Liaise with government bodies, legal advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure
compliance with zoning laws, permits, and other legal requirements.
Deal Structuring and Negotiation:
o Lead negotiations for land and property acquisition deals to secure the best terms
for the company.
o Structure deals that align with the company’s financial and strategic objectives.
o Assess the financial feasibility and legal implications of potential transactions.
Stakeholder Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including property
owners, government officials, and other relevant parties.
o Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth
negotiations and transactions.
Market Research and Analysis:
o Conduct thorough market research to identify potential acquisition opportunities.
o Analyze land value, market trends, and competitive landscape to support informed
decision-making.
o Provide strategic recommendations to the President based on market analysis and
risk assessments.
Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations related to land
acquisition and development.
o Monitor changes in real estate regulations and assess their potential impact on
ongoing and future transactions.
Reporting and Documentation:
o Prepare and present detailed reports to the President and executive leadership on
the status of transactions and acquisition projects.
o Maintain comprehensive documentation for each transaction, ensuring records are
up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
Background and Requirements
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Law, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related
field. An MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Experience:
o 10+ years of experience in corporate affairs, land acquisition, or transaction
management, preferably within the hospitality, real estate, or large infrastructure
sectors.
o Proven track record of managing large-scale land acquisition deals.
o Experience dealing with regulatory bodies and managing compliance in complex
transactions.
Skills:
o Strong negotiation and deal-making skills.
o In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, zoning regulations, and property
valuation.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder
relationships.
o Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and make strategic decisions.
o Proficient in contract management and legal documentation.
