Position Summary:

The AGM/DGM - Corporate Affairs will play a critical role in managing land transactions andnew acquisition deals for a large hotel development company. Reporting to the President, thisindividual will lead, strategize, and execute transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatoryrequirements while maximizing value for the company. The role requires a deep understandingof real estate, legal, and financial aspects of acquisitions.Key Responsibilities:Transaction Management:o Oversee all aspects of land acquisition and new property deals.o Negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, and other transaction-relateddocuments.o Collaborate with legal and financial teams to ensure proper due diligence isconducted for each transaction.o Liaise with government bodies, legal advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensurecompliance with zoning laws, permits, and other legal requirements.

Deal Structuring and Negotiation:o Lead negotiations for land and property acquisition deals to secure the best termsfor the company.o Structure deals that align with the company’s financial and strategic objectives.o Assess the financial feasibility and legal implications of potential transactions.Stakeholder Management:o Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including propertyowners, government officials, and other relevant parties.o Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smoothnegotiations and transactions.Market Research and Analysis:o Conduct thorough market research to identify potential acquisition opportunities.o Analyze land value, market trends, and competitive landscape to support informeddecision-making.o Provide strategic recommendations to the President based on market analysis andrisk assessments.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:o Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations related to landacquisition and development.o Monitor changes in real estate regulations and assess their potential impact onongoing and future transactions.

Reporting and Documentation:o Prepare and present detailed reports to the President and executive leadership onthe status of transactions and acquisition projects.o Maintain comprehensive documentation for each transaction, ensuring records areup-to-date and compliant with company policies.

Background and RequirementsJob Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:o Bachelor’s degree in Law, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a relatedfield. An MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Experience:o 10+ years of experience in corporate affairs, land acquisition, or transactionmanagement, preferably within the hospitality, real estate, or large infrastructuresectors.o Proven track record of managing large-scale land acquisition deals.o Experience dealing with regulatory bodies and managing compliance in complextransactions.

Skills:o Strong negotiation and deal-making skills.o In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, zoning regulations, and propertyvaluation.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholderrelationships.o Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and make strategic decisions.o Proficient in contract management and legal documentation.
