Role Overview

The Accounts Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective management of receivables, payables, and general ledger. The role involves supervising the accounts team, preparing MIS reports, supporting audits, and assisting in budgeting and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Reporting
  • Manage and supervise daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely closing of books of accounts.
  • Generate MIS reports and provide insights to management.
  • Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
  • Prepare necessary schedules and documentation for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls.
  • Receivables & Payables Management
  • Monitor debtors and follow up for timely collections.
  • Oversee vendor payments and credit control.
  • Manage cash flow and fund allocation effectively.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Track actual vs. budget performance and highlight variances.
  • Suggest cost-saving measures and process improvements.
  • Team Management
  • Supervise, guide, and review work of junior accountants.
  • Ensure timely task completion with accuracy.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in ERP/accounting software (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
  • 5–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Industry experience (manufacturing, trading, services, etc.) as per company requirement

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35, ₹75,000.00 per month
