Job Summary

As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of GE MRI and CT diagnostic imaging systems. You will ensure timely and accurate preventative maintenance while adhering to Field Modification Instructions (FMI) and Instrument Service Information (ISI) bulletins.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced Field Engineers with installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of designated equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, FMIs, and ISIs accurately and on time.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure effective resolution and follow-up.
  • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Manage repair parts ordering and cycle times efficiently.
  • Support commercial teams by identifying potential sales leads and promoting value-added services.
  • Stay updated with competitor information and market trends.
  • Work towards independently handling service calls within one year of employment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education.
  • Experience: High School Diploma with 4+ years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web applications.
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and standing for long periods.
  • Good hand and finger dexterity with strong vision abilities (color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and rotating on-call schedules as needed.
