Senior Manager – DS (CPG) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Data Science to lead our Data Science team within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis, with a passion for driving business growth through actionable insights derived from data. Responsibilities: 1. Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the data science team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving innovation in data analytics methodologies. 2. Data Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy for the CPG division, including data collection, storage, analysis, and visualization, to support decision-making processes across the organization. 3. Advanced Analytics: Apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract meaningful insights from large, complex datasets related to consumer behavior, sales trends, market dynamics, and product performance. 4. Predictive Modeling: Build and deploy predictive models to forecast demand, optimize pricing strategies, identify consumer preferences, and improve supply chain efficiency, driving revenue growth and operational excellence. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and supply chain, to integrate data-driven insights into strategic planning and decision-making processes. 6. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of data science initiatives, and regularly communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership. 7. Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, providing coaching, training, and support to foster professional growth and maximize individual and team performance. 8. Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, and evaluate their potential applications to enhance business outcomes and competitive advantage. Qualifications: • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. • Minimum of 12 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy). • Strong knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques, with hands-on experience in model development, validation, and deployment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of data scientists, foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic organization. • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and Gen AI experience is a plus.
