Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work very closely with teams across the organization (Platform/Product Engineering, Product Team, Solution Engineering, Mission Teams, and DevOps) and capture, track, and highlight the dependencies on each team and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
Set up project management processes and guidelines and ensure that all activities are driving towards the defined goals. He/She has to run the product delivery with the accountability of on-time delivery.
Act as a single source of truth across all Product/Platform Delivery tracks for updates, risks, and mitigation plans. Dashboard/toolification of the entire process is expected. Any tool can be used for this but an open-source tool is good to have.
Participate in planning meetings and publish the release plan with milestones after talking to Platform, Product, Mission, and Engineering teams.
Keep all the stakeholders informed with frequent communication updates. Collaboration skills are a must-have requirement to manage interaction among the cross-functional team both inside and outside eGov.
Provide technical leadership in all aspects of SDLC, including system analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Promote architectural and development best practices.
Lead and manage the development team.
He/she will also be responsible for keeping up to date with emerging technologies and making choices on tech building blocks.
Demonstrate the ability to bring in a fresh perspective; generate imaginative ideas and approaches.
Conduct regular change management sessions wrt to technology changes as a change management process working with Architects.
Cater to DevOps processes for the development and deployment of the platform.
He/she will mentor the top tech talent within the organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in any stream with IT experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple software / technology projects at a time across locations is a must.
3+ years of hands-on experience on at least one Project Management tool preferably open source is a must. Great capabilities to handle things in Excel are a plus.
Total IT experience of 8-12 years with 4+ years of work experience in a project delivery environment handling multiple projects at a time.
Excellent exposure to preparing and presenting status, reports, and plans to Senior leadership and mission leaders.
The operating style is suited to working in a small-organization setting, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued.
Ability to work independently and proactively, without support staff and with little supervision
Prior exposure to either the urban governance sector, public sector, development sector, or consulting is an added advantage.
High level of spoken and written fluency in English.
Experience in Java stacked development projects.
Knowledge of multiple technology streams (2EE, dynamic languages, Springboot, Web Services, and Design Patterns) is preferable.
Knowledge of GIT, Maven, Jenkins, YAML/JSON, Open API Contract - Swagger, and Postman is preferable.
Knowledge of microservice architecture, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, and REST concepts is preferable.
Knowledge of Python and Analytics is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Postgres/ PSql or any other SQL database is preferable.
Knowledge of Elasticsearch, NodeJS, and ReactJS is preferable.
Ability to compare various options and decide.
Ability to see abstractions bubbling up from different teams and consolidate the same.
Leading teams on end-to-end development and implementation.
