Job Opportunity: Procurement & Quality Executive – Coffee (Karnataka, India)

Location: Karnataka, India (requires frequent travel across coffee estates and curing works)

Employment type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced coffee professional to join our team and take charge of procurement and quality assurance at the origin level. This role is field-intensive and requires strong technical expertise, relationship skills, and passion for coffee.

Responsibilities

Visit coffee farms and curing works across Karnataka to evaluate beans before purchase.

Carry out quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting.

Cup and evaluate samples to ensure consistency with export specifications.

Prepare traceability and quality reports for each lot procured.

Coordinate procurement activities once contracts with suppliers are finalized.

Manage logistics from farm to curing works and up to export stage (sampling, weighment, warehousing).

Maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and curing units.

Ensure compliance with Coffee Board of India and FSSAI guidelines.

Requirements

Proven experience in coffee (procurement, quality control, cupping, or farm-level operations).

Strong knowledge of green coffee beans, grading, curing processes, and cup quality analysis.

Ability to maintain accurate documentation for traceability and compliance.

Familiarity with export-related logistics and processes is an advantage.

Fluency in Kannada (mandatory); basic English for reporting and supplier/buyer coordination.

Willingness to travel extensively within Karnataka's coffee-growing regions.

High integrity, reliability, and a genuine passion for coffee.
