Job Summary

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for procuring high-quality materials and resources needed for apparel production and retail operations. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective purchases, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to meet the company's quality and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement
    :
  • Source and purchase raw materials, fabrics, trims, and accessories as per the company's requirements.
  • Ensure timely procurement to meet production deadlines.
  • Vendor Management
    :
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Cost Management
    :
  • Optimise purchasing costs without compromising on quality.
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to procurement.
  • Quality Assurance
    :
  • Ensure materials and supplies meet the company's quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control team to address any discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management
    :
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Documentation
    :
  • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Market Research
    :
  • Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and emerging suppliers.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative procurement strategies.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the apparel or textile industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and other apparel production materials.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
