Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Shift Transport Planning
Prepare and manage daily employee transport rosters based on shift timings.
- Coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules for employees across locations.
Handle sudden changes or ad hoc transport requirements.
Vendor and Fleet Coordination
Liaise with third-party transport vendors or in-house drivers.
- Ensure vehicle availability, cleanliness, and punctuality.
Track vehicle movement via GPS and transport management systems (TMS).
Employee Communication
Share timely updates with employees regarding their transport schedules.
- Address queries, complaints, or issues related to delays or vehicle behavior.
Coordinate during emergencies (e.g., breakdowns, route blockages).
Safety & Compliance
Ensure female employees have escort services for night shifts (as per law).
- Verify driver documents, ID, background checks, and behavior.
Ensure compliance with RTO rules, corporate policies, and shift transport SOPs.
Operational Monitoring
Monitor transport operations in real-time using GPS or tracking dashboards.
- Maintain records of trips, vehicle utilization, fuel logs, and driver logs.
Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports for management.
Cost Management
Optimize routes to reduce fuel and operational costs.
- Verify and process transport vendor invoices.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control of transport services.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong coordination and scheduling skills
- Knowledge of GPS, TMS (Transport Management Systems), or routing software
- Familiarity with transport regulations and safety norms
- Crisis management and problem-solving skills
- Basic MS Excel and reporting capabilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in rotational or night shifts (if required)
