Role Summary:

This role will report to the Director, Marketing Analytics in India, supporting teams that oversee marketing technology and marketing measurement.

This person will be responsible for connecting marketing strategy led by the US office with day-to-day reporting and analysis from the India office. The candidate will work closely with customer and site data in order to define business profitability, quantify marketing efficiency, and identify opportunities to improve business performance.

Key Qualifications:

  • to 8 years of experience in marketing analytics, inclusive of paid media and site reporting
  • years of people management experience
  • years experience working with Adobe Analytics, and with various marketing channels to scope and implement their technical tracking requirements (pixels, URL tracking, etc)
  • years experience working with digital media, inclusive of measurement and media testing.
  • to MMM work, preferably in Retail
  • Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheet skills. Ability to code macros in VBA a plus.
  • with command-line statistical analysis software (e.g. SAS or R) , SQL (analytic functions, subqueries, window functions, etc), Snowflake
  • critical thinking and problem solving skills, leveraging data to answer business questions
  • understanding of the digital privacy landscape and how it impacts performance measurement methodologies (changes in tracking abilities for cookies, app tracking, etc.). Clean room experience is a plus.
  • of E-commerce retail and key industry trends is a plus.

Role Description:

  • oversee two teams of analysts, with one analyzing marketing performance and the other managing web analytics projects - Details of two teams are explained separately below.
  • a team that assesses marketing performance against our measurement plan, inclusive of the following:
  • the impact of digital channels and marketing promotions to provide insights on what drives Saks’ customer demand.
  • the profitability of Saks customers across product categories and digital media channels.
  • analysts’ assessment of paid media testing impacts by identifying the right data sources and KPIs for each given test.
  • a team focused on Adobe Analytics implementation, admin, and end-user assistance, inclusive of the following activities
  • and analyze Adobe Workspace projects to provide insights to teams measuring the impact of new site features, merchandising, checkout, etc. Manage existing Adobe Analytics dashboards and related info requests
  • end users with access to Adobe Analytics, and dashboard creation within the tool
  • new dimensions and metrics, classifications, data sources, etc in Adobe Analytics
  • and test analytics and marketing vendor tracking and tagging requirements for website and app
  • tracking issues by investigating raw clickstream data
  • analysts’ continuous improvement in marketing performance analysis (inputs to be evaluated in customer, testing, and paid media models)
  • data science outputs to tangible operational strategies for media growth & category strategy
  • experience working with Adobe Analytics
  • experience working with tag managers, preferably Tealium (Eventstream and TiQ)
  • experience working with ad tech platform environments, including the Google Marketing Platform suite (Search Ads 360, Display & Video 360, Campaign Manager) and Facebook/Meta Business Manager.
  • with command-line statistical analysis software (e.g. SAS or R) , SQL (analytic functions, subqueries, window functions, etc), Snowflake
  • experience working with clickstream data.
  • of key ad industry trends affecting media and digital measurement
  • with Excel/Google Sheets in building data visualizations. PowerPoint/Google Slides a plus.

Marketing Measurement

  • marketing performance against our measurement plan for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses.
  • the impact of digital channels and marketing promotions to provide insights on what drives Saks’ customer demand.
  • the profitability of Saks customers across product categories and digital media channels.
  • analysts’ continuous improvement in marketing performance analysis (inputs to be evaluated in customer, testing, and paid media models)

Web Analytics

  • a team of analysts who will

  • end users with access to Adobe Analytics, and dashboard creation within the tool. Stay up to date on new features / training and share out that information with the org. Log tickets with Adobe to correct any defects
  • existing Adobe Analytics dashboards and related info requests
  • and test tracking and tagging requirements for website and app (dataLayer, Tealium Eventstream and TiQ, Charles. Knowledge of js is a plus to assist analysts with requirements). Requirements will primarily pertain to Adobe Analytics, but will also include updates for our media vendors or other integrations
  • within Adobe Analytics new dimensions and metrics, classifications, data sources, etc
  • tracking issues by investigating raw data logs in Snowflake using SQL
  • in or leading work streams responsible for designing solutions for multiple sites and segments, multiple LOB’s, and businesses (Ex: building talent communities, leading efforts to represent the company at conferences, networking events & and talent days, TA marketing plans/projects)
